Located in the western part of Orange County, the Town of Wawayanda occupies 35 square miles with a population of approximately 7,266. Interstate 84 and U.S. Route 6 – US 6, the Grand Army of the Republic Highway run east-west. New York State Route 17M crosses the northern section of the town. NY 284 also runs through the town.
